Gaudy Welsh adorned many much loved Welsh tables and dressers in cottages and farmhouses from the 1820s to today. Also well know by Swansea Cottage, Gaudy Esque, Gaudy Dutch in patterns of tulip, sunflower, grape and wagon wheel among others. The tecnique used in the process to produce the end glaze on the porcelain is facinating and worth research. The creamer in my listing is early Gaudy Welsh in the wagon wheel pattern. Measurements are 3 1/4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide. Excellent condition and a perfect addition to a collection.
